Abel Salinas Washed Typica Mejorado

Sipping on a clean and sweet floral tea

From producer Abel Salinas of Finca Arashi comes a sweet and clean Typica Mejorado! This coffee is a perfect example of clean processing and roasting. We find a structured tropical acidity, a floral and clean finish, and a linger of sweetness that will make your mouth water. Flower Child’s roast on this coffee is clean and expressive and allows you to brew this coffee in a variety of methods and at higher extraction levels!

This coffee is a great example of one you can express differently via extraction. If you are brewing this coffee on pourover we suggest you brew with at least 95C and target longer brew times and ratios (1:16-1:18). A fun experiment with this coffee is to brew it at 1:16, 1:17, and 1:18 but keep everything the same except for extending your final pour. You will find a very different expression of tropical acidity and how it harmoniously integrates into the rest of the cup between each brew. On espresso, we suggest you pull a modern style of espresso targeting at least 1:3 ratio with a faster shot time of under 25s.
