Kenya AA Murarandia
This week’s release comes from my friend Kimhak of Pair Cupworks (Mesa, Arizona)! This is a really sweet and bright tasting Kenyan that has plum acidity tied to a heavy blackberry jam note with a nice herbal finish. When hot I find the cup to be sweet and very red fruit tasting (as most Kenyans are!) but once cooled the acidity starts to become much more defined and bright with each component of the coffee being harmonious. I find this expression to be quite interesting as there is an herbal component after the acidity that I often do not taste in Kenyan coffees.
