Ninga Lot #6
This coffee is a great example of a classic washed Burundi profile! We find nice citrus acidity presented cleanly in a black tea profile with a sweet finish. As the coffee cools there is a nice spice profile that appears and is tied together to a nice sweet linger. We like this coffee's flavor profile and think it's a great introduction to Burundian coffees.
From Regalia:
This coffee is subtle but exciting as it unfolds: refined sweetness, crisp fresh orchard fruit, black tea and earth spice.
Sitting between 1800-2000 masl. , the Ninga Hill community is far beyond the reach of electricity. Coffee trees can be seen everywhere: from the edge of the single track dirt paths that weave through the hills to the doorsteps of farmers’ self-made mud brick houses. The work we see here is from the hands of approximately 764 coffee producers.
