Panama Elida Estate Gesha (4oz Bag)

*Limited Quantity Available, Coffee comes in 4oz size w/ Recipe Card

Founded in 1918, Lamastus Family Estates comprises four farms in Panama's highlands: Elida Estate, El Burro Estate, Luito Geisha Estate, and Trompo Geisha Estate. Each farm benefits from unique microclimates and microorganisms due to their distinct terroirs.

Elida coffee thrives in Baru Volcano National Park's high elevations, volcanic soils, and cool, misty microclimate. Surrounded by rainforest, the beans mature slowly in nightly temperatures below 10°C (50°F), developing complex flavors. Harvested at peak ripeness, they undergo meticulous processing: pulping and fermenting for 30 to 40 hours under controlled temperatures, followed by sun-drying for 15 to 20 days. These steps ensure Elida coffee's exceptional taste and quality.

Lamastus Family Estates has won the Best of Panama award in 2007, 2009, 2016, 2018, and 2019. This family-run business is managed by Wilford Lamastus Sr., his wife, Vielka, and their son, Wilford Jr.

This coffee was scored 91.50 by Bean & Bean and Wilford Lamastus and is a stellar example of what is possible in Panama. We've really enjoyed this coffee and there are only a limited number of bags available!

Fun Fact - Elida Gesha holds the world record for the most expensive coffee at $6032 per pound (green) and ft. in the show "Billions!"
