“This is our third harvest working with Wilton Benitez and the third time we've had his decaf. This decaf is truly special, and scored competitively against many of our caffeinated coffees. In the cup, we get a mouthful of skittles - especially the green ones. This coffee has the sweetness of berries and fruit salad with a bright citric acidity and a silky body. This coffee has a medium finish.”
Our take:
One of the most exciting applications of the recent trend toward advanced processing methods and loud fruit flavors in coffee for us is in decaf. Many decaf coffees tend toward bland or cardboard-y flavors, so when we came across decaf coffee with this much punchy and exciting flavor, we had to pick it up.
